An exciting, and rare, opportunity has arisen to join a local shooting syndicate in the Leicestershire area.
Foston shoot and conservation are currently looking to recruit 2 new, committed and enthusiastic members to join its well established and friendly team.
The Foston shoot and conservation syndicate is a small and friendly group of like minded individuals who enjoy the benefits of rearing / releasing its own game birds and helping to conserve the local environment in the process.
The group consists of 6 syndicate members, who take an active part in the rearing and releasing of game, alongside working the land to maintain and improve the environment.
The syndicate has exclusive game shooting rights covering two local, adjacent, farms in the Countesthorpe / Foston area of Leicestershire. Covering an approximate 1,000+ Acres and including: Woodlands, Duck ponds, hedge rows, open fields and river frontage.
Available game currently includes: Pheasant, Partridge, Hare, Duck/wild Duck and Woodcock.
As an addition to the exclusive game rights, Members of the syndicate, also have year round access to Approx 700+ acres of pigeon, crow, magpie and other pest control for the land owner.
The shoot is run as a non profit making club and support those with a keen interest in shooting, conservation and environment improvement.
Members MUST be committed to work parties, and be involved in the day to day running of the shoot.
Ideally, perspective members will be local to the Leicester area and be willing (and able) to visit the farm on a regular basis (to assist in the rearing of birds and general maintenance).
Members are also required to be members of BASC and / or hold other shooting insurance to the equivalent levels.
Syndicate fees currently stand at £700 per year and can be paid in two installments of £350 at the start of December with the remaining £350 being paid the following June.
