Located in the picturesque county of Herefordshire. The hen house is a small family shoot that provides guns with an enjoyable and personable experience. Shoot days are driven by a team of experienced beaters and gamekeeper. The shoot is a friendly family run shoot

Land & topography
High hedges and small ancient woodlands, gently rolling hills. Surrounded by small banks and arable fields.

Typical Itinerary
Guns will be welcomed at 9am at the local Village Hall for tea, coffee, safety briefing and peg drawing. Shot gun certificates will need to be bought along with you. Guns will be guided to the shoot using their own vehicles and will then be shown to their pegs by approximately 10am. Drives are easily accessible for guns to drive to however the track is a country track, it is advisable that guns use 4×4 vehicles. Guns will be shown to their pegs by the host and typically two drives will be shot before a field lunch will be provided either on the shoot or back at the village hall, located approximately 5 miles away. After lunch you will then make your way to the afternoon drives and then make your way back to the village hall for tea, coffee and cake while the bag is counted.

Hospitality
Tea and coffee provided on arrival. A small selection of meal snacks will be provided for lunch which can be enjoyed either in the field or the village hall. Cakes and coffee provided at the end of the shoot day. Both beaters and guns share the use of the village hall. Guns are welcome to take as many brace of pheasant/ wildfowl as they like. Accommodation and meals cannot be provided for.

About the hosts
Stephen is an experienced gamekeeper, with over 15 years of experience in the shooting industry. Together with his wife they wanted to provide small affordable shoot days for people to enjoy.
